This is a new opener for many scams.
The scammer’s response becomes more flexible.
Scammers look for friends in their environment, which consists of mail addresses they have acquired somewhere. Based on the mails, the scammers then decide which story to apply to the potential victims. Do not reply, it would only be to your detriment. Never give out your address or even send a copy of your ID. This would be committing further crimes.
