Philippines Covid-19 Scam

Yes, it is very likely to be a scam. Here are some red flags that indicate it is:

The sender claims that you have been selected to be a winner of a compensation scheme, but has no explanation or proof of this claim.
The sender requests personal information such as full name, delivery address and phone number. This is a common tactic that fraudsters use to identify potential victims.
The email is poorly written and contains a number of grammatical errors. This suggests that the person sending is not legitimate.


The email asks you to reply to an email address that is not part of the government’s domain. This suggests that they are trying to disguise who sent the email.
If you are in receipt of this email, you should not reply or provide any personal information. You should also be cautious about clicking on any links in the email. If you are concerned about the authenticity of the email, you can get in touch with the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 directly via their official website or via their social media pages.
